🚰Water Protection Order - Golden Bay Springs🚰

IALT: write and reflect on an article which states and talks about hoe the Golden Bay Springs finally gets Water Protection/Conservation Order.. WCO for short or WPO in other words.
Te Waikoropupu Springs which is located in the Golden Bay, and Golden Bay which then that is located nearby Nelson. People say that they are an awesome spot for great tourists, but are then again they have a some of the cleanest and clearest waters in New Zealand. The Springs (Te Waikoropupu Springs)  will have the highest possible protection for a water body – which is according to research a Water Conservation Order also known as WCO for short. The Government says WCOs or in other words Water Conservation Orders are the equivalent of National Park status for a water body. There is currently 15 WCOs in New Zealand which is currently protecting 13 rivers and two lakes. Isn't it just cool, how much people could care for the lakes or rivers they live around?! They say that this is the first application for a springs. It’s been a long time coming for the local iwi Ngati Tama, who have been fighting to get protection for the pristine water system, and they also consider the springs "wahi tapu", a sacred or terrifying place. The Environment Minister, which is currently Nick Smith said in his own words“These springs are part of what gives Golden Bay, Nelson and New Zealand a strong environmental reputation, and we must ensure they are protected for future generations.” With what "Nick Smith" just said I agree with him 100%. I may not be from around the place of where this event is taking place but I can understand how people could feel, for rivers, lakes and also their nearby environment(s) or community!

After reading about this article, it makes me wonder about how much people could care about the rivers and lakes around the tamaki environment, or community! I mean like could we ever care this much, to fight to have Water Protection?!
What are your thoughts, and views on this?
Please leave a comment below... that you think can help me in the best way!
