IALT: reflect on our Kiwisport - Basketball lesson.
After witnessing and going through today's Kiwisport lesson it was real different. One I've never seen before! When we walked outside ready for the Kiwisport lesson to begin it began spitting lightly upon us. Then it slowly went from light, to less light! And before we knew it we were rushing inside, along with the 2 Kiwisport teachers. Today our teachers were Coach Ya-Ran, and also Coach Peter! So basically in Kiwisport, the only things we were able to establish was high knees, to the full line and back, along with jumps. When we came inside we had around out 20-30 minutes left in our lesson, so to get our Basketball knowledge to extend more, our 2 coaches deiced to give us a quiz. And whoever reaches 5 points, is free from doing either 5 star jumps, pushups, or situps! While the rest of class suffer the consequences! They asked questions like..
- How many people on a Basketball team?
- How many people are allowed on the bench?
- How many seconds do you have before shooting?
And many other questions that was able to stretch my knowledge out on Basketball. By doing these questions, quizzes, and this activity it was also able to get me learning, and developing more! For example I didn't know 12 players were on a basketball team, and only 7 players were allowed on the bench while the other 5 players were playing on court. It also occurred to me that there are 2 different types of dribbling.
- Dribbling 1- Bouncing the ball with 2 hands
- Dribbling 2 - Bouncing the ball above your shoulders
I also learnt a lot form peers for example, how much Basketball Knowledge they have based on this amazing sport!

Next time, I hope the weather is good to us providing with the sunshine we need to get through with our lesson! I also wish to learn more around this sport.
I actually thought Basketball, and Netball had huge similarities but after the quiz we went through I was able to realise instead of the similarities, I thought they had they actually have huge differences between each other!
