IALA: how the Auckland Waterview Tunnel finally opened up.
As the last Sunday came up, tens of thousands of people turned out for the official opening ceremony of Auckland’s first 2.4km, & $1.4 billion Waterview Tunnel. New Zealand current Prime Minister "Bill English" told had spoken to the media and spectators at the opening ceremony and also paid tribute to all those who had worked hard to bring the project to life. Or in other words to all those who put their time, effort, and also their hard work and dedication into this project. Thousands of pedestrians and cyclists who had booked the event out within hours apparently had made their way through the tunnel. Cool right? It also shows in the article that the massive roading project was earmarked to open at Easter, which is something I was blank minded about! Anyways they say due to a fault with the tunnel’s jet fan and water extraction pump system it caused to have band vehicles until early July. The transport Minister "Simon Bridges" touted the tunnel as the biggest current change to the Auckland traffic flows since the opening of the Harbour Bridge.
Imagine if thousands of people attended a huge successful achievement you had made.. and is proud off! Wouldn't it just give you that "BUZZ" of a feeling?! Because with me I know for a fact that it would really mean a lot!
