IALT: identify what how the locals tried to save the beached up whales that got themselves stuck in the spit.
Hey readers/bloggers/viewers, and others who are on my blog. Today I read about an place I am unfamiliar with (Farewell Spit). This is a place where a incident of whales, and the locals of that place were involved in.
Short Description:
A little bit about this task was that the abut how the whales swam into the spit, and from swimming into the spit was too shallow, and made it too difficult for them to swim out. But long story short, the locals of the area hadn't given up of the whales.
Stay tuned to read the DLO I created about what the locals did to save the whales...
The most difficult part was imagining what I would have done in that very situation. Looking at myself now I wouldn't have the strength or ability in pulling a whale out from the spit, but with a team I knew I could have which is probably what the locals of this area did!
With the whales getting stuck in the spit, would you help them out? & Why?
Please leave a comment down below for me to use and view in the future as I continue to blog about my education and learning!
Kind Regards Losana,

Hello Losana!
I remember we had a giant whale wash up on the beach in my home town in Kapiti, it was such a rare and sad occasion. Many people that went down to help didn't really know what to do as they are too big to get back to the sea, so you just have to keep them wet and get as many people involved as possible.
Unfortunately most of the time they die because they obviously can't survive out of the water... We can read about it happening, but to think what we'd actually do in the situation is hard, I agree. I'd definitely help as much as I could, but I wouldn't like to watch them die...
Anyway, again, it's great to see you doing your best efforts Losana!
Nicky :)
Also, thank you Cherise for your positive comments and feedback on Losana's work! :)
