❤️Bonus Family Interview Activity - Winter Learning Journey ❤️

IALT: interview one of my family members on their favourite outdoor activities.

With this activity I wanted BONUS points so I decided to interview one of my family members on their top 5 outdoor activity. I have a huge family, which lead me with the choice of a lot of people. Altogether including both my parents there are 9 of us. I have 6 siblings with 2 brothers and 4 sisters. I decided that I would have interviewed my sister just older than me. As I asked her about her favouirte sport this task felt plane, so I decided to make it a little more interesting. With the top 5 sport choices she would have picked, would come 1 question per sport.

So... I created a DLO of images related to her top 5 sports, and also the questions I created on the top 5 sports. The sister I interviewed is Ma'asi, a year 10 student currently attending Edgewater College located in Pakuranga.

In this task the most difficult thing I found hard, was giving out my own thoughts. My sister asked me how I would answer the questions if I was in her position and as I did (on the spot), I thought about how it could relate to me!

What are your top 5 outdoor sport activities?

Please leave a comment down below for me to view and use in the future!

Thankful Regards,
- Your Winter Learning Journey Blogger Losana.

Hi Losana,

What a creative approach you have taken to this activity! I love to see the effort and the initiative that you have taken to 'jazz up' the bonus task. It sounds like Ma'asi really enjoys a range of outdoor activities. Like her, I love basketball and netball. In fact, I used to play basketball a lot when I lived in Canada. I am originally from a small town called Almonte which is located in the province of Ontario. Although it is very small it is quite famous in Canada because it is the place where the inventor of basketball, Dr James Naismith, was born and raised. Cool 'eh?! (In Canada, we often say 'eh at the end of a sentence. It means the same thing as "Don't you agree?" or "Do you think so, too?")

You've set a very high standard with the quality of this post, Losana. Keep up the great work!

Cheers,
Rachel :)

WOW, that makes me feel real great about my work Rachel, Thanks. I wasn't able to view your comment till now, (Sorry). As I have handed down your comment to Ma'asi (1 of my older sisters) it gives her the "Ohh Really?" feeling. Thank you in commenting in my work, and I can't wait to continue on with this program! Lastly, before leaving I would also like to thank you in commenting a little about yourself. Now that I have been informed with a little bit of information about you maybe I'll be able to understand things in your viewpoint!

Hi Losana,

It's my pleasure! I think that it is really important, when commenting, that you do what you can to make it personable and informative. In my opinion, it really strengthens the relationship that you can build though an online programme. I am looking forward to sharing more info and to learning more about your experiences and your journey as we go!

Keep up the great work :)

Rachel
