IALT: reflect on how Youtube has now stopped 30 second ads
Apparently Youtube has just announced that they will be closing down 30 second ads, that can't be skipped. The reason for this, is because apparently viewers who want to access a specific video, and has to watch 30 second videos, basically stop watching videos because of the long 30 second ads they cannot skip. The more viewers they get on the ads, the more money the advisors will pay to YOUTUBE, which is why they have still decided to keep the shorter ads you can skip after 5 seconds of watching. However, feedback based and related to the 30 second non skipping ad, show that people become to board to even watch the ad, so they end up closing down the whole tab. The 30 second ad is an huge failure, trying to provide them something before being able to access what they hadn't wanted basically back fired, because of that now people avoid watching the ad, and because they choose to avoid watching the ad they also choose to avoid watching the video, they had wanted to be viewed, or watched.
I think it's pathetic, now days people are so impatient they can't even wait 30 seconds before getting to watch or listen to what they want. It feels to me that the world is changing and maybe not for the better, if they were 1 minute ads or 2 minute ads it would be understandable towards myself, but a 30 second ad.. I down think it's necessary to complain, or shut down the whole thing.
People need to start having more patience, and not only for themselves, but also for others and for life. Can you wait only 30 seconds? Because I know I can!
