😃Camp Evening Night Reflection😃

I am learning to reflect on the Camp Evening Night

Tonight all year 7 & 8 students, and parents had a Camp Evening Night. The Camp Evening Night, was basically about asking questions, that the parents, guardians, or caregivers, need to be answered based on camp, and the children leaving for camp. It also showed a video, which a team of Student Councils put together based on Camp Raglan, which is the destination of our camp. As we arrived, the 7 & 8 students, performed a chant that they had created, based on camp! There were many asked, like for example questions, based on camp, transport, and food! Also the movie showed, the 2 key competencies that we will be focusing on during the camp days, and hours we will be there. The 2 key competencies, that will be mainly focused on is..

  • Relating to others
  • Participating and Contributing
The video that was shown also, talked about how what some of the year 7 & 8 student, thoughts on specific questions, the student leader of TPS came up with. The video also showed the cabins, and obstacle courses that we will be experiencing. The one question that stood out to me was when a parent, asked.. based on what they've heard about the earthquakes, will it still be safe for their child to be transported there.

The 5 Key Competencies From The New Zealand Curriculum

Overall tonight, answered a lot of the questions that was asked, and that needed to be answered. I enjoyed watching our chant being performed, and our video being put together as one, and providing it for the parents, and caregivers of the year 7 & 8 children, who attended tonight.
