IALT: interview other teachers about my questions/wonderings!

Before this blog post.. I blogged and shared with my blog audience about my questions/wonderings on hobbies. I also shared what my next steps in my learning was! So I decied to put those next steps into action!

I interviewed 2 different teachers from the senior classes. I interviewed Miss Ashley, and Miss Morrison. I asked them questions such as..

  • Did you ever turn your hobby into a career?
  • Was teaching ever a hobby?
  • How does being a teacher relate to your hobby?
And many more. In order to support this text with evidence I took pictures of our conversation or interview. The images or photos taken will be shown below as evidence of my learning!

What I enjoyed the most? Well I found their answers interesting. From Miss Ashley, she told me that if she was to choose to do something other than teaching it would have to be dancing. She attended a dancing school, but as she grew older her dreams of dancing began to fade. But yet she still has enough confidence and belief in herself to one day wish she would become the dancer she wants to be.

While on the other hand Miss Morrison explained her reasons of becoming a teacher. She loves to be creative and also loves to be around people. She said that she loves to share her gift of creativity and be around people so she thought about teaching!

How could or have you turned your hobby into your career?

❔Questions - Hobbies ❔

Image result for questions

IALT: create a DLO of my questions/wondering based around hobbies.

Do have wonderings, or questions around Hobbies? Well I have them too. With hobbies being our new Inquiry topic, I have developed questions I have wanted to be answered. I created a DLO of my wonderings and in creating this DLO, I planned further.

After creating this DLO I wondered how I could have these wonderings/questions answered. I would like to have these questions answered by interviewing role models around the school such as.. teachers, principals or any type of workers around the school. With interviewing teacher from other classrooms will help me understand their point of view in relation to hobbies.

With my next steps in this learning journey is to interview and to find the perspectives or viewpoints of others.

Do have questions around hobbies?, Or do you have answers to any of my questions above?

Well, please leave a comment down below for me to view in the future.

πŸ•‘ 'Modern' Hobbies Changing Overtime πŸ•‘

Image result for old vs new

IALT: explain a modern hobby or hobbies that have changed over time.

I researched modern hobbies and found 2 that have changed overtime. I created 2 DLO's of how Painting and Calligraphy has changed over time.

With Calligraphy I wasn't so familiar with it but then after using 'common sense' in order to ask Google, I was able to find out that Calligraphy is different brushes used to design lettering.

When you think of painting you think of paint, and plane piece of paper. But in comparing painting in the olden days to these days, a huge difference and a huge change has been noticed.

The fun part of this task was learning about something new. What I learnt was what Calligraphy was. When I first saw the world I was confused, and it was word I was very unfamiliar with.. So I researched about it, read abut it, and wrote about it. It helped for me to have a much clearer
understanding.

My next steps in learning.. Is to identify what type of modern hobbies people would choose. For example if people to were either have a decision in painting nowadays, or in the modern days which would they choose, and Why?

Which would you prefer? Modern Hobbies or the change in those hobbies?

⬆️Pay It Forward - Q&A ⬆️

Image result for pay it forward

IALT: create a DLO of answers to the questions given based on a video we watched.

A few days ago, as a class we watched a video all about paying it forward. We were given 5 questions to answer after watching the video.

Our task was to create a DLO which I have completed using Google Drawings, to show my answers to the questions give by our class teacher.

What I'm hoping for? Is for people to contribute to making a change in order for our community to become a safer and better place.

If I were to identify the most difficult part of this task it would be, deeply thinking about how the video can affect me.

But then again, what I found enjoyable throughout completing this task it would have to be realising how doing something little, can contribute a huge change to the community, environment, and a change to the world we live in.

Are you willing to pay it forward to the community, environment, and to the world we live in?

πŸ” Point Of View Chart - Reading πŸ”

Image result for reading word

WALA: expressing our point of view on the article we read.

So with the article we were given I believe that the main point was to give us all that thinking BUZZ. In my eyes it helped for me to realise if I need or want a new hobby?, If anything's stopping me?, and lastly how it could affect my everyday life?

As I read through the article a lot of new thoughts occurred to my head. I began to deeply think about me, my hobbies, and my future goals/dreams.

If your a girl or a human being like me you don't have much interests, or hobbies to look forward to in life. It's basically the same thing, which for me is MUSIC/SINGING, I have had a passion for music since early ages of my life. Growing up as a church girl, and listening to hymns, and songs made me fall in love with the gift I hadn't discovered god gave me... a voice to sing. I used my voice to share my feelings, emotions, and thoughts with others. Singing is a unique and different way to share which is why I choose to treasure it, and keep it as something special to me.

I then created a DLO which was done on the Google Drive Application - Google Drawing in order to show what my view point(s) are.

My goal for next time? Investigate deeper.. by going around the school and asking teachers questions in relation of course to this learning journey.

The most enjoyable part?, Well in speaking my mind it would have to be getting that real WAKE UP call, in order to get your mind thinking about your future.

What your thoughts on my work? And my DLO?

Please leave a comment down below for me to view as I continue to blog more in the future about my current, and future learning journey's.

πŸ“ Cinquain Poem - Music πŸ“

Image result for poetry

IAL: to write about a Cinquain poem based on a hobby I have.

Do you know what a Cinquain poem is? Well it's a type of poetry. We discussed a Cinquain poem while we were talking about poetry for writing. I decied to base my poetry on Music. The layout or the adjustment of a Cinquain poem is to start off with 2 syllables, moving onto 4, then 6, up to 8, and back down to 2.

I tried my best in following the set out of a Cinquain poem. Though I do think I have a bit of work to do on this type of poetry.

Now I don't have much knowledge on this type of poetry but I would like to gain more, and have more experince with it... As I should develop more as we learn more about this during our writing time.

Some I enjoyed, was getting the opportunity to write my own type of Cinquain poem. It has helped me realise another type of poetry (Cinquain).

My goal, is to use this type of poetry more often in relation to my learning. In instead of writing long stories, or short raps maybe I could use a Cinquain.

Have you ever written a Cinquain poem?

Please leave a comment down below for me to view as I shall keep blogging. I hope to see feedback, feedforward, and suggestions on how YOU think I could improve more in the future in relation to my learning.

πŸ‘£ 24 Hour Digital Footprint - Cybermsarts πŸ‘£

Image result for digital footprint

IALT: create a map showing my 24 digital footprint.

So a few days ago Miss Shearing came in, when she came in she asked for us to open our history. Which can be opened shortly using (ctrl - H), I was able to find my digital footprints. I made a copy of the map, and designed my own. I accessed 9 websites in the hours I was at school, which is put in the order I accessed the websites in.

Have you ever wondered about how your digital footprints affect your daily life?

I found this task so engaging, it helped for me to realise the digital footprints I make everyday. And by completing this task has helped me realise that once a digital footprint is made, it can't be deleted from the online web.

Something I enjoyed while doing this task was how it wasn't to boring. I didn't have to type, and I didn't have to explain as you can see these images and footprints, are very clear on what this DLO is showing (With a little explanation above).

Next time something I would like to work on doing better is to explain why or what I was doing on those websites. For example if I was on the class site, which area of the class site was I on. I would like to be a little more specific in order to let my audience understand why, and what I was doing more.

Did you know you make a digital footprint everyday your on the web? Every website you access?, and every tab that is re-opened and closed?

In learning about this has helped for me to be more careful online. I need to realise the consequences that could be placed for the footprints I make. I believe this will help for me to stay online, and to also keep me from irrelevant things.

I look forward in viewing and using the feedback put and published on my blog.
