🌊 Wash With Warm/Cold 🌊

IALT: reflect on an article I read about based on washing your hands with either cold or hot water.

After reading an article about washing your hands with cold/warm water I've realised that washing your hands with cold water could be the same as washing it with warm water! So do you use hot or cold water when you wash your hands?! I've realised that new research suggests that cold water might just be just as good as warm water! Can you believe it? The US scientists studied a group of volunteers and found that washing your hands with cold water (15C) instead of hot water (38C) didn’t make a big difference to how much bacteria was killed... I mean like can you believe it?? They also said that using antibacterial soap instead of normal soap didn’t make much difference either, What is happening to our world, giving people one idea of the same thing as another. What made a difference was the time you took to wash your hands according to the article.  It states in this article that you should scrub your hands for at least 10 seconds... Then that's when the magic happens!

What are your thoughts on this article? And what did you think before?
Something I liked about this article was that I was able to realise the differences, and the right and the wrongs I had mixed up and thinking before.
But then again something that challenged me was researching more to this! I mean like I would love to read an article, and wonder but doesn't that just make you wonder more up to stages of research well that's how I feel!

🌊 Issues with our Tamaki River(s)? 🌊

IAKT: reflect on what I think the issues with our Tamaki River(s) are/is?

I've created a brainstorm of all the things I think that are or is the issue of our Tamaki river(s)! I came up with 7 relevant idea's related to this task! In order for me to answer this questions with a clear understanding I asked questions, with family, teachers and people in out around and about the school! After getting their perspectives I thought about how I can change their perspectives or views, in my own views, and perspectives!

What do you think the issues, with our/your rivers are!

The main issue that stood out to me as I was working was Pollution! Mainly because people around the world don't care or don't find picking up rubbish around our community or in other words environment important!

Do you think littering is bad?, or picking up rubbish can make a difference! Truth be told I think with one person in the world picking upto 1 piece rubbish each day, it will not only make a huge difference but also a huge influence on those yet to come.

What do you think about these answers, or this question?

Please leave a comment below... with feedback that can help me improve on my learning! Also please, make leave your views and perspectives!

Many Thanks!

🏞️Inquiry, I Am The River, & The River Is Me🏞️

IALT: explain the differences of what a river, stream and creek, and also the individual meaning of them... along with what Ana & Myself think the meaning of the phrase "I am the river, and the river is me" means.

Today for Inquiry, we had to complete a presentation with what we think the meaning of the phrase "I am the river, & the river is me", also explaining the purpose of a river, stream, and creek. We also had to find out what difference they have between each other. As I was completing this activity, I found predicting what I think it means the hardest task of all. I had never heard of the phrase "I am the river, & the river is me", which made it hard for me to have a Growth Mindset, and to also give a random prediction. If you would like to continue to read more about how Ana & Myself completed this presentation, and if you would also like to have read what we thought please view below!

Our Inquiry Presentation:

Something I found very hard and challenging while completing this task, was writing about what I the differences of a river, stream and a creek has!
