☀️Sunny Side Sunday☀️

IALT: deeply reflect on my Sunday.

So today in my world it started off with a bit of sunshine, but still cold wind heading in my direction! It was church time but the only thing was we had a new priest and a new family living in the house the church provides for them. With the previous gone not only did he leave behind unforgettable memories, but a bunch of our closest friends. It was hard to say goodbye but life does go on, and so does this reflection so..

It was 9.45AM and we were off. We were 10 minutes early for Sunday school, but after all is was worth it. This whole service went on for up to just an hour. As it was the first Sunday traditionally with my church women, mens, and all sorts of children would stand as others would sing and explain what they want! It starts of with the priest's wife, and another bunch of women, leading of to the younger kids and so on! Then it went to the feast!

When we walked in and it was time for the seating. It was so short and but the food was still so yum! As I sat we prayed and as we prayed I could just feel all the eyes of the people sitting next to me targetting the food they had wanted to grab. It was things from Chocolates, to the traditional Tongan food. It was great turn out, and it was also a great feast which filled me up to the very end.

My next steps art to find more images, that relate to the topic. In order to give my readers and viewers the opportunity to paint a much clearer image in their minds.

The most difficult part in my day was explaining to God what I want from him, or what I want in life. But as I usually say what I have to say and ask of God, depending on what it is, it stays between God and myself.

What are your thoughts on this?

Many Thanks... :>

⏳Sunday Funeral (Favona)⏳

IALT: reflect on the Funeral, my family & attended

Yesterday at 8.00pm we were on a
way driving to Favona (In Mangere)... Due to a funeral we were a ked to sing at, and attend to. At a type of thing like this, in the Tongan culture it is known as a Apo. Each church basically just sings a song each. IF YOU think of it we basically just take turns. It was boring at first because we just sat there,  8.30pm and had to wait till the service finished at 10.00pm. Once the service is over for the churches singing, it's your choice whether you would want to stay over night,  or not. We couldn't stay over night because, My dad was working, and we also had school... Well only Ma'asi, who attends Edgewater College, and My sister Sydney, who is currently at Auckland university studying, law and hoping to become a lawyer one day. Myself, & Amon (At Tamaki Primary), have teachers only day today which means for today we get to choose want we want to do, well mostly!

As I was at the funeral I saw one of my peers, from school there. I saw Siale, it was very sad to hear the person who died, him and his family were very close with. For the past few days (Last Week), he had to miss out school because of the funeral, which was like me when my Grandpa died 2 years ago.

We saw heaps of different family and friends at the funeral,

Have you ever been to a funeral?
If yes, what was something that stood out to you?

Because something that stood out to me was when I looked around, and saw all the different churches there, and all the different people crying, with sadness and depression!

✝️Church Reflection ✝️

IALT: reflect on what we did at church today..

Today, was just the same Sunday. I know it might sounds boring, but it wasn't. It was the same 1st Sunday, with different people.. and new experiences! We sang songs from himi's, sang many years ago by elder Tongans, and read verses and stories from the bible, recounting about God.

Walking into Sunday school, firs thing and straight away I realise our Sunday school teacher.. Ledea in Tongan, or for those non tongan speaker Lydia wasn't hear. Today my class (Class 3), received their bible verse, or questions and answers for us to individually perform in May, to the priest of our church, Sione.. or in english John. My class was given the same bible verse to learn. The verse we were given was in the Tongan Language..
Gaahi Lea Fakatata, Vahe 3, Vesi 1-10. But for the non tongan speakers it is pronounced Proverbs Chapter 3 Verse 1-10. Though there are 35 verses in this bible chapter, we are only expected to read the first 10 verses.

We sang songs, and stood and told God, what we wanted, and want was in our heart for us to achieve! At the end of the service, it was finished, I was shocked that it was that fast, I guess time flys when you're having fast! We had choir, practicing new different songs to sing next Sunday, Monday, Wednesday or Friday! Then it was done, and it was home time!

Have you ever been to church, If you have what was one thing you learnt from verse...?
