🎲 The Kindergarten Visit @ TPS 🎲

IALT: reflect on developing the skills of welcoming, and greeting others into our school!

9.00 Ana, and myself were offered to help out the photographer of the class photo's today BUT our teacher Ms Komor told us to prioritize what Miss Thompson has asked for us to do, as it seems for important. So we went down to Miss Thompson... and she grabbed a bunch of student councils to help out with the Kindergarten visit Tamaki Primary had. Ana, and I had the job of greeting guests and directing them down into the boardroom. We had a lot of guest and children so to get them ready to entertain themselves we prepared a Gymnastics course for them, opened up the sand pit, and bring out bright sittable dices in order to read with them. Sadly, we weren't able to stay for more because our teacher Ms Komor, said we had to be in class by 10.15AM max! So I rushed out to warn Miss Thompson to organise for another to host the activities, and to also find others before it got started. I was afraid I would've got into trouble so I rushed back into class in a hurry. We walked in and carried on as usual. But something didn't feel right! Was it Ms Komor's mood? Was she angry? I felt as if she was!

I look forward in seeing them around or attending our school in the future!

But I am still looking on working on imperfections on reflecting on things. From articles, or Kiwisport, to huge events like these!

So... please drop by and say hello to our comment section! Please do leave thoughtful comments behind for me to use in the future.

Thanks for viewing!

πŸ‘©‍🏫 Leadership Program Reflection πŸ‘©‍🏫

IALT: reflect on all the qualities of a leader, and the also on what I had learnt while being at our first Leadership lesson with Ms Latoya, and Mr Malu (Mr.M).

Today after the first interval usually it's straight to the top court's waiting on Fitness to begin, but today the schedule changed! All the students were called to meet with Ms Latoya and Mr Malu, for our first official leadership program. When we met up it was a bit nerve racking but we went straight into the lesson. The first we did was listen to Mr Malu give himself a big of a introduction! He talked about things like...
  • The College he attended
  • His past in teaching/studying
  • Why he had passion for this?
Anyways we learnt a lot in this lesson! We were given a task which was to organise ourselves into 1 group of 3, pick a leader from Mr Malu's hat and write about the good and bad qualities this leader had. In the hat we had all sorts of leader from leaders that lead to bombing places and hating the good, to the people who loved people regardless of the differences, and people who preached for the better of others. I was put in a group with Ana, and Falakiko! The leader we were given was Saddam Hussein. The first facts we were able to identity was that he was the president of Iraq, and when he resigned he let the worse of him overcome, and overtake him as he was bombing places, starting wars and causing the death of 1 million people. We found this information from books, and the online website. So in this activity by the other groups reading out the good and bad qualities of this leader, we would guess that leader. Some leaders we guessed were..
  • Hitler
  • Jesus Christ
  • Tevita
And much more meaningful leaders. At the end of this activity we talked about things these leader have in common and some idea's we came up with was...
  • Ruthless
  • Determination
  • Confidence
  • Intelligence
And much, much more! Then Ms Latoya picked certain people to share with the leaders the answers we had come up with.

In this lesson it built my knowledge on learning more in different ways! Mainly, because I thought with the power of technology, books are useless but I guess I've been proven wrong.

Always remember?! Becoming a leader starts with you. Slightly even the smallest changes can occur to the biggest challenges, & success achievements.

Please leave a comment below! What are your thoughts on our first Leadership lesson.

🎲 Boardgames Thursday 🎲

IALT: reflect on the poster I created and made based on "Boardgames Thursday"!

Today we've decided to add a new activity to the week, which is Boardgames Thursday. All student councilors will be hosting and holding this activity! And tomorrow will be the first time it will be held, therefore the first impression must be a good one right? So in order to get this activity successfully going we've asked all staff members to bring along any board game(s)  they have lying around in their home to let others well our school mates play and have with them. We are hoping to see a lot of students, and if not well maybe a lot more in the upcoming events of this activity.

Something I enjoyed while doing this activity was thinking about all the positive things that could, or can happen while doing or whie in the process of this activity!

Something I found challenging was thinking about all the reasons why some might not come. Therefore maybe posters aren't enough! So stay tuned to find out some of the idea's I might come up with to get people coming to this event!

Here is the poster I've created based on Boardgames Thursday!

What are your thoughts on this poster or this activity?

Please leave a comment below, and thanks for viewing! Remember to leave positive feedback and feedforward for me to use in the future.

Many Thanks 😁
