✈️Banding Laptops on Airplanes? - USA ✈️

Image result for laptops on planes

IALT: reflect about an article which states how in USA they are thinking about banding all laptops on airplanes.

Apparently the US is considering banning laptops from aircraft cabins on all flights in and out of the country. Crazy right? This move is part of an increase in airport and plane security. According to the article in March  this year , the US government introduced restrictions on large electronic devices in aircraft cabins on flights from 10 airports, including the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Turkey. Airlines are concerned that banding laptops may erode customer demand. But luckily in New Zealand people are able to travel with laptops without it being banned and taken off them. So now the US Government is really considering to ban laptops from being on any sort of Aircraft cabins, and have a huge chance/risk of losing a lot of customers?
What would you do? & Would you ban laptops even though there was a huge chance, and risk you would loose a lot of customers?!

πŸ‡³πŸ‡ΏKiwi Breaks Bungy Jumping Record πŸ‡³πŸ‡Ώ

IALT: reflect about an article which states that a New Zealander just broke, or broke a Bungy Jumping record.

WoooHooo!!! WOW After reading an article's title I was engaged and learned that a Kiwi bungy jumping  just broke the world record for the most bungy jumps in 24 hours. According to the article, Mike Heard leaped off the Auckland Harbour Bridge more than 160 times. Which was not only insane in my perspective but also amazing and unbelieveable. The previous record was 158 which was set by an Australian man Beau Retallick 3 years ago in 2014. Heard’s 24-hour bungy marathon has been done in aid of the Mental Health Foundation. Mike is no stranger to bungy jump records. They say in 2008 he set the record in when he jumped 103 times in 24 hours which is fully full on. But apparently that record was beaten and until Heard took it back it was held by Australian Beau Retallick with 158 crazy  jumps. Mike broke the record just under five hours into his attempt. He took few hours to sleep after midnight before returning at 5.30am which is something I know I could never do to continue jumping away..

Imagine jumping off the Harbour Bridge 160 times...!!!! Honestly, if I ever just stood at the top of the Harbour Bridge preparing for 1 jump I would've felt like I was going NUTS πŸ˜΅!!! But who knows maybe in the future overcoming my fear of heights could be goal I could work towards!
Something I enjoyed about this article was that it was very entertaining and bright! Not only that but know the type of thoughts that run through people's head. For example jumping off the Harbour Bridge 160 times!!!

🐭Mouse Stops Plane From Flying 🐭

IALT: explain, and reflect on how a mouse stopped a plane from flying to San Francisco!

Today, I read about an article which states after a mouse was found by a staff member on one of London's Heathrow plane's... which then stopped the plane from flying out to San Francisco. Though passengers were already locked in their seats, ready for take off  they had to stop the flight, and quickly organise and re-arrange new flight taking of to San Francisco. Heathrow is the UK’s busiest airport which they say is dealing with more than 200,000 passengers on average every day which is shocking...

I think finding a mouse inside a plane, which caused and stopped a plane from flying is very ridiculous! What's wrong with taking the mouse out, and giving the plane a quick check in, and clean out! Now days, it seems if you find a animal your caused to stop the flight, and re-organize another one. Who know's, next time if they find a ant inside the plane, they will cancel everything!!!

What do you think about this article?
Do you think this ridiculous?, & Why?

πŸš“Man Breaks Into New York Prison πŸš“

IALT: reflect, and explain about an article which shows and states that a man after being let out of prison, keeps trying to break back into prison?!

According to an article I read online, (Kiwi Kids News), after a man known as "Matthew Matagrano" tried to break into the New York Prison, which very suspicious after being let out.. Don't you think? Authorities say Matthew spent a long interesting time frame of his life behind the bars, and usually people would try to break out of prison, not break in! They say he got into the prison ground by, pretending to be a guard! He was also spotted talking to other prisoners, which was even more weird, and suspicious. His strategy to work, was creating phony ID numbers, getting into  number and majority of different New York prison's. They say his plan was a huge definite success as he did brake into the prison, before getting caught though. He spotted talking, walking and having long deep conversation's with inmates...

New York Authorities are still trying to reveal, and find out the reason for him wanting to go back behind the bars?

This article is shocking to me! Usually when I saw this article's title I thought it was misspelt or misread, but it wasn't. This is very dodgy and weird, first spending a long period of time in prison, and when you get handed freedom you take it for granted! I seem ti have believe that there is a reason behind his break in but until more information is released...
TO BE CONTINUED!

What do you think about this article?
Why do you think he broke back into a majority of different prisons?!

This article challenged me, because finding out about this article, and reading about made me connect bigger idea's and thoughts. Maybe more people's lives could be in danger because of this!

πŸ’£Terror Attack In LondonπŸ’£

IALT: reflect on an article based upon a Terror Attack in London!

According to an news article read by myself on the website KiwiKidsNews on Wednesday afternoon there was an attack just outside Parliament. Apparently a shocking 5 people were killed, and over 40 people were badly, seriously injured! Authorities say that the Area around Houses Of Parliament were shut off, or in other words closed down due to safety reasons. This is the most serious terrorist attack on London wasn't since the 7/7 bombings in 2005. Which is the year I was actually born in! They also say that on Thursday morning, the UK Prime Minister which is or known as "Theresa May" has just now confirmed police have arrested up to 8 different individuals in order of being related to this incident of "terrorist attack"!

I think the world is turning into an unsafe place! My reaction after reading this article was mainly "SHOCKED"! A "terror attack", really? Maybe these people were aiming towards one person only, but why would you go towards all that trouble just to injure that person or group of people! I mean like not only might that affect the person you want to be affected by this but innocents will be killed, injured, on even endangered.

Imagine if you were an innocent women/man/boy or girl, and you injured, hurt or killed because idiotic behavior like this for example? How would it make you feel and how would you re-act?

What are your thoughts on this article?

πŸ’°5kgs Of Coins Found Inside A Turtle πŸ’°

IALT: reflect on an article based on how 5kgs worth of coins was found inside a turtle!

After reading a shocking article, on Kiwi Kids News a vet has shockingly found 5kgs worth of coins inside a turtle. The turtle is known as Omsin, which in translation of Thai.. means Piggy Bank. They say the turtle had eating 900 coins, which were put in enclosure for good luck. Authorities say that the 900 coins found inside Omsin, weighed 5kgs, along with another 59kgs, which was Omsin himself. The vet, who performed the 7 hour operation, in order to remove the 5kgs, or 900 coins inside Osmin, say that it was the world's first such surgery.

After reading this article, it has changed a few of my thoughts on turtles. Firstly, because I had no idea turtles were capable, of holding 5kgs worth of coins inside of them. Come to think of it, I think this article, would probably change a lot of people's thoughts, related to turtles. Knowing that in order to set the coins free inside of the turtle, they had to perform up to a 7 hours surgery!

Overall, something I struggled with while completing this task was having to talk about how a turtle had eaten upto 900 coins which weighed a shocking 5kgs. Throughout, all the article's I have/had read related to turtles, or animals this is the article which stands out to me. The reason why it stands out to me is because, most articles I write about, based on animals does not change my viewpoint, or perspective based on the animal, I read about but this particular article has helped me have a much stronger and better understanding to see what turtles are really capeable of.

What are your thoughts on this article?
Has reading this article, helped to change your mindset about turtles,
Why, or Why not?

πŸ—ž️She Kept A Cookie For 85 YEARSπŸ—ž️

IALT: reflect on an article mainly about how a woman kept a cookie for 85 years!

According to an news article I read which was from the website (KIWI KIDS NEWS) A woman coming from Arizona, Texas she has kept a cookie for 85 year after it had been passed down to her from her mother before passing away in the 1930's. They say back in the day baking was one way to send loving gifts, to help save money, and also to help be more creative. She has kept this specific cookie which is on the left side of this text.. she kept in a jewelry box from her mother which was a symbol of her father and mothers past love. She re-opened and reviewed this cookie on valentine's day this year, which must of bring back memories.

My thoughts on this article:?

I think it is amazing knowing how long people can keep things for espically food for a 85 years it seems unbelievable. It's hard for me to believe this article because over time doesn't food rot, espically for this long its surprising.

Anyways, What do you think about this article?
