Cybersmarts - Infographic

Image result for cybersmarts

IALT: create an infographic about 'Netiquette' online.

Last week for cybersmarts, Miss Shearing left us with a website and a task. The website we were given was 'canva.com'. This website is used for designing and using other themes to design different infographics. What were we making an infographic about? 'Netiquette' online. Basically the Do's and Dont's. However, before we began with the creation of our infographic we planned through the Do's and Don'ts online.

Here's a screenshot of the work itself. As a class, as we raised our hands giving idea's we would list them, along with idea's of own! On what we should be and shouldn't be aware off.

After doing this we moved onto signing up for the website and finalising the theme we would be using for the infographic we are creating based upon, 'Netiquette'.

Personally it was quick for me. As I used some of Miss Shearing guiding skills to help me out with this I was able to complete a simple, but very engaging themed infographic.

What are your thoughts on my infographic based on.. 'Netiquette'.

Please do leave a comment including feedback and feedforward based upon my work.

Muchly Appreciated,

πŸ‘£ 24 Hour Digital Footprint - Cybermsarts πŸ‘£

Image result for digital footprint

IALT: create a map showing my 24 digital footprint.

So a few days ago Miss Shearing came in, when she came in she asked for us to open our history. Which can be opened shortly using (ctrl - H), I was able to find my digital footprints. I made a copy of the map, and designed my own. I accessed 9 websites in the hours I was at school, which is put in the order I accessed the websites in.

Have you ever wondered about how your digital footprints affect your daily life?

I found this task so engaging, it helped for me to realise the digital footprints I make everyday. And by completing this task has helped me realise that once a digital footprint is made, it can't be deleted from the online web.

Something I enjoyed while doing this task was how it wasn't to boring. I didn't have to type, and I didn't have to explain as you can see these images and footprints, are very clear on what this DLO is showing (With a little explanation above).

Next time something I would like to work on doing better is to explain why or what I was doing on those websites. For example if I was on the class site, which area of the class site was I on. I would like to be a little more specific in order to let my audience understand why, and what I was doing more.

Did you know you make a digital footprint everyday your on the web? Every website you access?, and every tab that is re-opened and closed?

In learning about this has helped for me to be more careful online. I need to realise the consequences that could be placed for the footprints I make. I believe this will help for me to stay online, and to also keep me from irrelevant things.

Please leave a comment down below!

I look forward in viewing and using the feedback put and published on my blog.

Muchly Appreciated,

πŸ“Cybersmarts - Movie Script πŸ“

WALA: making a type of entertainment based on "What makes a good quality blog post".

In this task I will be working in a group of 3. Which includes Ana, & Akanesi and also myself. We've decided to create a short entertaining film on what makes a good quality blog post. Now first things first, we had to write our script, figure out the location, and also sharing the parts evenly between each other. So we've decided to not only put in our views but also some other the younger students (Year 5-6), and other students views on what they think and also what they call a good quality blog post.. also Why?! So without further or do keep reading to view our script, and the template we have successfully completed to the best of our ability!

Akanesi: So guys,  Today’s topic is “What makes a good quality blogpost?”!
Ana: Hmmmm? Interesting so?
Losana: So let’s take a tour around Tamaki Primary getting the perspectives of others!
Akanesi: Let’s go!!!
Losana, Ana, & Akanesi: (Reaches Destination) - Classroom 7
Ana: Here we have organised to meet up with some year 5-6 students from TPS to get their perspective on “What makes a good quality blogpost?”
Akanesi: So.. what are your perspectives?
Ana : Wait a minute let's take this back to the studio… We got some digital blog posts back there! - Hall
Losana: Well, Ok then let's go? “Come on guys”.
(We all reach destination)
Akanesi: Here is some digital blog posts… What do you’s think about this?

The End!

What do you think about our script?

The next phase in this activity is the creating part which is the longest part therefore the faster we get on it, the better and easier it may be for us to finish it! Right?!

"Camera, Lights, & ACTION"!

But feel free to put your inputs in on how you think we could improve more on not only our movie but my learning as an individual learner.

I look forward to working on this movie so others can see not only the year 7 & 8's thoughts, but also the younger students.. because doesn't every ones opinion matter?

πŸ’»Video Storyboard - Cybersmarts πŸ’»

IALT: reflect and talk about the task we did during our Cybersmart lesson with Miss Shearing.

Image result for blogger logo

On Tuesday morning, Miss Shearing came in and talked about cybersmarts. We talked about   things like, blog posts, what makes them quality, why makes them attractive but one thing I am really looking forward to working on/completing is the task she gave us to make a type of movie, song, rap anything about "What makes a good quality blogpost". So I've formed a group of 4 people including myself they are...

  • Losana (Me)
  • Akanesi
  • Ana
  • Leilani
We've planned out that we will be making a movie based on not only our 4 perspectives or views on what makes a good quality blog post but also some of the viewpoints of the year 8 students @ TPS. We've started out writing our script but were still in the drafting zone. All that we have for sure is that it is going to be set. filmed or record as if it was the news. We've came up with the name "School News". So we're just 4 people who formed a news group show casing to others 1 topic but heaps of different others perspective. So for example the subject or the topic could be "If chicken is tasty or not & Why?" Well we would go around Tamaki Primary, asking them for their opinions then streaming it live or showing it to another, where they can then develop new knowledge about why people might find it tasty or not and also why? Not only that but were hear to help people understand the understandings of others, or the reasons of others disagreements.

What do you think about what we've planned and what were working with so far?

Please leave a comment below, with your thoughts of what a good quality blog post looks like and maybe we'll use it as a screenshot of evidence and also a image to showcase in our movie!

Thanks for viewing... 😊

πŸ–₯️Cybersmart with Miss Shearing! πŸ–₯️

IALT: reflect on learning about Cybersmarts with Miss Shearing.

With Miss Sharing we started talking about our Blog Profiles. The first thing we did was talk about others blog profiles. We looked at each and every one of those profiles which was,
  • Valerie Adams
  • Joseph Parker
  • Lesa Carrington
  • Scott Dixon
  • Keven Mealamu
  • Lydia Ko
We then talked about what we can see when we scroll up and down Joseph's Parker profiles. The things we came up with was..
  1. Banner
  2. Description
  3. Information about the person
  4. Photo of the person
  5. Facts
  6. Detailed Information
We basically did the same for all the profiles we viewed. We also talked about how in their profiles there are their past achievements, their goals, and also facts about them and their personal lives. We also talked about whether their photos make them look as if they are friendly or not... and why! Some of the profiles we viewed had instead of their names on the banner it had their achievements, or goals, or what they are famous for. We realised that there was pattern to all there profiles. They all talk and describe about themselves. One profile that was kind of different to me was with Scott Dixon's profile that he had several images that explained alot without words depending on the way you look at it. With Lydia Ko, her profile was completely different here is a screenshot of image of the way her and valerie adams profile was laid out.. and looking at their differences.

We also talked about how the image we choose to display on our profile has to relate to the type of person we described. For example if I described myself as a bright happy and energetic person my photo will have to be me either smiling or having fun while doing things appropriately.

I enjoyed this task because it challenged me thinking about myself..

What do you think about this task?!

πŸ’Cybersmarts With Mrs Shearing πŸ’

WALT: reflect on what we did with Mrs Shearing

Today for about 45 minutes a lady from the Manaiakalani Trust Education came into Room 9, and introduced herself to us with the name of, Mrs Shearing. Every Tuesday morning, she will be coming into our classroom talking about CYBERSMART!

What is CYBERSMART to me?

To me in my own words, Cybersmart is all about staying and being safe online. It's about making the right choice digitally. By this I mean it's about giving out the right information for the world to see, and it's also about  making sure you are safe online.

How can you not be safe online?

At times in your life your not going to be Cybersmart, sometimes your put to much information up, or your have to many things to post, or view or like. Being NOT safe online can start from..

  • Cyber Bullying
Which is when you're being bullied online, from others digitally.

Today with Mrs Shearing, we just talked about Keyboard Shortcuts. By this I mean, we talked about how we can do things faster using our keyboard. For example to open a new tab using a Keyboard Shortcut, is Control T.. Another Keyboard Shortcut I know is how to close a tab faster, which is Control W. We also talked about what a omnibox was. To my knowledge an omnibox is what you type in a search result... Below will be a much better explainable photo.

Omnibox:

Another thing we learnt about with Mrs Shearing when we would fill a form some time in our life.. Some answers we came up with were...

  • Job Application
  • Travelling
With many more idea's to list down,

Next week I look forward to Mrs Shearing coming back and talking to us about something new, we could just learn about.
