๐ŸŽ€ First Zumba Monday Session ๐ŸŽ€

IALT: reflect and share with my blog audience how our first Zumba Monday session went

On Monday, the beginning of this week it was the first Zumba Monday session we had not only for the term but also for the year of 2017!!! We had a little trouble and difficulty setting up. I think the main reason why there were troubles and confusion everywhere was because there was no teacher, to help and supervise us getting everything ready, not only that but it was out first setting up and we didn't even get to practice.. therefore there was an delay before starting but us Student Leaders were able to work through and solve our problems alone!

At first we only started out with a little bit of junior kids, but as the music played and more smiles and moving children were doing the more it made other juniors join in and participate. I thought it was going to be hard but then I was able to adapt myself into the moving part of me and as I got there I was able to help other kids getting into it more. Some kids were too shy to come along and show who they are which was understanding and appropriate! I was doing my best to help kids feel more involved and active.

As I looked at the crowd the numbers began going up, but then it got a little boring even for me, but I still kept my growth mindset. Instead of just giving up and letting them leave I was doing my best to keep a growth and open mindset therefore I decided to switch songs, and "zumba" my way up to those leaving towards the door bringing them back onto the dance floor.

The time went by so fast the bell had rang. I could tell by the excitement and exhaustion on the young one's faces they enjoyed there session! In order to end things off with a smile I decided to ask them who would consider coming back and surprisingly all there hands went up! Which then was evidence t me with the delays and long waits it still turned out to be a good lesson! I can't wait for next Monday's next Zumba lesson.

๐ŸŒบAnzac Memorial Service Reflection๐ŸŒบ

WALT: reflect on the Tamaki Primary Anzac Memorial Service

On Anzac Day it was during the holidays which was April 25th! So we missed it but that doesn't mean we still can't pay our respects and show our honours therefore....

On Thursday (Yesterday) Tamaki Primary School, had a Anzac Memorial Service in order to pay our respects and show our honour to those who fought for the freedom of our nation! From each class would a presenter or presenters.. and those people presenting would either read a poem, being up a reef or perform an item to still show their respects! From our classroom (Room 9) we had 3 people presenting a poem which were..

  • Akanesi
  • Aumau
  • Leilani
And Sene which was the reef carrier or taker. At the beginning of the service we sang our national anthem (New Zealand) along with the Australian National anthem with sitting and listening to the sound or instrument of the trumpet! There were a lot to different performances and even the junior children from the younger classes surprisingly surprised me with the tone, and words they used and pronounced during presenting their item!  At the end of the service each class would go up and have their moment of silence! It went from Room 1 to Room 10. As I stood their in silence I looked down and saw all those names with many more to be listed! I then wondered if i wasn't for these people who fought us freedom wouldn't be with us or one with us! Therefore I was very grate for every fought they fought and every bullet then had taken. Milan and Michael were the hosts of the Anzac Memorial Service and they had done a excellent job knowing they were from Room 6.

๐ŸŽฒ Tamaki Primary Fun Day Reflection ๐ŸŽฒ

IALT: reflect on Tamaki Primary fun day!

Today from 12PM, to 3PM Tamaki Primary was holding a Fun Day! All you had to do was pay $4 in order to be apart, and take part of some fun and action. When we walked out, the first thing we did was have a short School Assembly, in order to recognise, and give the 2017 Student Council badges. My name was called up to give my badge, and I was very proud to represent my last name, my school, and also my friends, and family!

Have you ever been given an Student Leader position?

Also we had an assembly, in order to go through the rules, and the limit while having Fun Day! There 3 different Bouncy Castles, and several different activities for example...
  • Basketball
  • Volleyball
  • Cricket
  • Softball
My goal, was to attend every bounce castle... but I was afraid that the lines were going to be long, and I wouldn't get my turn in time. The first bouncy castle I was on was quite difficult with all the different kids running around, and bumping into each other but at the end of the day I was able to make it through all the obstacles, and happily complete each bouncy castle! One bouncy castle I found very difficult, was bouncy castle when you had strap up and run as far as you could with the strings attached to your back!

Overall, I thought this was a good way to enjoy ourselves, and have an active bunch of students running around, safe and also happy!

I can't wait to see what the staff member of Tamaki Primary 2017, has in store for us this year!

What do you think, about this?
Have you ever had a Fun Day, If yes what was your highlight? & Why?
