IALT: reflect on our Te Oro Experience Reflection

Today a group of people from Tamaki Primary School, travelled to the Te Oro Arts Centre to perform a skit or in other words a play about the Tamaki River.  In our play or act we had male fishers, eels, fish, a river, and singer along with ACTORS! It mainly about show casing how important taking our river is! We were also showcasing how littering around and in our rivers do affect our environment and community badly.

Before appearing on stage and performing as one with my group I was NERVOUS! Like really Nervous... so nervous I couldn't count the amount of butterflies  could feel in my stomach. ONce we went on the stage there was no going back! We went from scene 1, to 2, to 3, then to 4 it was over by the minute! But we weren't as happy, excited and revealed as we thought we would have been! The reason was because the sound system wasn't working! The music that was being played from the laptop/screen had very low volume you could just hear over it. But instead of focusing on what went wrong, and on the negatives of the performance... I would like to focus more on what went good and the positives of our performance...

All sorts of different types of school were there! We explored their room and on their learning! For example some schools we saw were...

  • Point England
  • Glen Brae
  • Glen Taylor
  • Tamaki College
And many more different schools we haven't seen yet! They had all sorts of designs, and creations for example they created a game on all sorts of websites like for example Scratch, and they also created creations they thought could help PEST! Or designs on what kind of creatures could come into your home during the day time. We came back to school until my next presentation at Te Oro which is with Ana, at 1.00 today! I can't wait to see what happens next and I can't wait to share it with my blog views/blog audiences.

Here is a link to some of the performances...
